Freebie! Groundhog's Day Writing Paper

It is no secret I am a huge fan on integrating technology into everything that I do, but there is something about handwritten letters.  I hope that as technology becomes more and more important, and our students technological skills grow, that they will always be able to write, especially handwrite.  I love reading my Grandma's handwritten diary entries, a recipe card that has been passed down, a friends picture with their signature on the back, or a classic note from Junior High.  Handwritten goodness is something that I hope never goes away.  I think I'll take sometime today to write a quick card to a friend- it always means so much more than an e-mail.  :-)

I hope this Groundhog's Day writing paper gets your student's creative juices flowing.  Have your student's tell a story about what the groundhog does in the 'off' season.  Predict whether or not he will see his shadow.  To get the freebie click here, or on the picture.  :D

Be sure to not miss the next freebie by becoming a blog follower.  I also, have a website of all of the best resources on the web at http://mrsfullenkamp.com Check it out it's all free!  :-)

Be sure to check out the Valentine's writing pack.  There is enough for every single student to have something different!  That would make a very cute class book.

  1. So cute! Thank you for sharing. I just printed out some pages for my little guy to use at home. Early dismissal today, so he'll have fun with this special paper this afternoon!

  2. Thanks for the freebie! I agree with your post whole heartedly! I absolutely love my mother's handwriting. So every time I take a look at one of her recipe cards I smile because it's so personal. Unfortunately I think with todays technology we are relying less on less on the old fashioned pen and pencil and more on our keyboards. Thanks again!

  3. I just found your blog today. I am your newest follower. I have a daughter named Leah. She lives in Brooklyn. I love your groundhog paper! I will be using it in my writing centers this week. I may want to add it to our Groundhog Lapbooks we are making and sharing with the classes that are part of the Winter Wonderland Exchange Project. Would this be ok with you? You can find info about the exchange on my blog. Thanks,
