Fonts! Free Fonts!

While I was blog hopping today, I stopped at Tech with Jen (awesome site by the way!), she has a section for fonts.  At the very bottom she featured Really Quite Lucky a site that reminds me a little bit of the pea fonts from Kevin and Amanda.  Anyhow these are free fonts, but what I really liked about it is that it had student writing samples.  :-D  I love that you have someone at the age of six writing their own font instead of an adult "faking" it.  Love!  Check it out!  :-D  If you would like to use any of these fonts just remember to include a link back.  What other fun font sites do you love?

My very own handwriting font!!!

I can finally cross this off of my bucket list!  I now have a font of my very own handwriting!  And, it was way easy.  I will hopefully take the time very soon and do a nice copy, but I did this one very quickly just to see if I could and I can!  Holy Smokes!  I have my very own handwriting as a font!  :-D Just to show how excited I am, here's a screen shot!

Crazy isn't it!  Want to make your own font?  I did it through the app iFontMaker.  It is a $6.99 purchase but so far it has been worth it.  :-)  Check it out!  And let me know if you like it!

Wordmark.it

Wordmark.it is a website that loads all of the fonts on the computer you are on and lets you see how a word would look in each font.  You have the option to change the text size and make it white on black.  For me this saves a ton of time because I no longer spend a lot of time going through each font on my computer looking for just the right one.  This would also save time when you are working with your students because no longer is selecting the right font a lengthy endeavor.  Below is a screen shot of the website with my last name typed in.
